Our Story

Shopping for new floors should be fun. After imagining how it will look, feel and come together in your space, the last thing you want is for something to go wrong. What happens when you choose a company that cares more about closing the sale than getting it right? Unfortunately, that’s when horror stories unfold.
Kelly Brown and the Carpets by Otto team have heard about the problems and what happens when a company cuts corners. Today, we’ll tell you what could go wrong and how we do things differently.
It all starts when you find a material you think you’ll love and daydream about what it would look like in your space. There is a downside, though. Some materials aren’t made to be installed on a floor because of their technical makeup.
Materials with air pockets or thin spots can crack once they’re installed where they don’t belong. Some materials are beautiful. However, they might not be the right fit for your floor.
Some customers will walk into a flooring store, mention a material and the sales team will sell it to them. Sometimes, a store might know the material isn’t rated for flooring. They just leave that part out to get the sale.
As a result, a homeowner might end up with a floor that was never meant to be there in the first place, all because the store didn’t give them the full picture. At Carpets by Otto, we don't even offer anything not rated for floors. We only deal with the highest quality flooring products from the top manufacturers.
Cutting corners can also come down to the product a store carries. Some offer second-quality carpet because they get a better deal on it and assume customers will never notice the difference.
At Carpets by Otto, we don’t do that. We only sell first quality.
What we sell and how we sell it both matter. Our team would never make a sale without explaining what a customer is getting. We’re upfront with you about everything, and we don’t sell anything that is not rated for floors.
Not cutting corners is one of the things that makes us special. We only sell first-quality carpet and are honest about every product. That’s how we make sure every project is done right.
